Now THAT is how you kick off a season!!!
Submitted By Michelle Neufeld on Wednesday, June 12, 2019
It was a great day at the diamonds this past Saturday as the Newmarket Stingers kicked off their 45th season!!!   Read on for the latest buzz..

Clearly mother nature is a Stingers fan!   We had two beautiful days of sunshine and good times to kick off our 45th anniversary season this past weekend.

First, to the board, the volunteers, the coaches, the umpires, our sponsors,  the players, the parents for coming out, for helping and supporting our opening and anniversary weekend!   It takes a hive to make amazing things happen like this and each of your contributions no matter how big or small made this a truly memorable event!   Thank-you!

A special thanks to our Mayor John Taylor and Deputy Mayor, Regional Councillor Tom Vegh and Councillor Kelly Broome for your support and participation in our opening day!    Your time and words during our opening were greatly appreciated.   Our mayor and Deputy Mayor threw out the first pitches at our afternoon games and did a great job! You are welcome with the Stingers anytime!

Thank-you as well to Bob Hawkins for keeping us buzzing and the diamonds grooving with some awesome tunes through out the day!

We opened our NEW SUMMER STORE "the Hive" by Diamond 2!  AND we unveiled our NEW "HOME OF THE STINGERS" SIGNS on Diamonds 1 and 2 both provided by Waste Connections of Canada!

Thank-you to everyone
who made our anniversary weekend and season 45 kick-off memorable.   Check our some of the great happenings below.

It's going to be a great summer with the Stingers!   Let's get buzzing!!!
