Many, many thanks
Submitted By Alanna Jarvis on Wednesday, August 15, 2018
Thank you to the coaches and parent volunteers who have committed their time and knowledge to help develop our young players. We have a fine group of umpires who are learning and developing and who have been fabulous at being committed, responsible and eager to learn. Thank you to the players, who have further developed their softball skills and the families who cheered them on throughout the season. Thank you to the sponsors who so generously contribute to support our league.
Thanks to the many volunteers who keep this organization running. Our board of directors have done a terrific job ensuring the league runs smoothly and that all the various jobs get completed. All the board of director positions are volunteer, and we are so grateful for their dedication to NMSA.

NMSA is in dire need of new members to join their board of directors. Many of the board members will be stepping down this year as they have children who will be getting ready for post secondary education in the next year or two and will not be here to play in our league. We also have a couple of board members who don’t even have children playing in NMSA but who have played a valuable role in keeping our organization alive. Newmarket Softball cannot exist with only 3-4 board members, there are just too many jobs to be done. We need people like you who can dedicate a few hours a week to keeping everything running smoothly.  We will be holding our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, October 11th, 2018, but you don’t have to wait until then to get started. Please reach out to any board member and we will help you get involved. All of our board members would be happy to assist with the transition and be available to help should you need them in the future.
Help us to keep softball alive and well in Newmarket.
